For any Mike and Eleven shippers out there, Stranger Things season three is going to make you very happy.

The two didn't get to spend too much time together in season two, but did at least get to have a smooch at the Snow Ball during the final episode, and executive producer Shawn Levy has confirmed that season three will have a bit of a focus on them.

"I think we'd all be devastated if we came back to Hawkins a year later and suddenly Mike and Eleven are history. I know I want to revisit that couple, so season three does explore that romance," he told Glamour.

And they're not the only young couple around in Hawkins as Max and Lucas's relationship will also be revisited after their Snow Ball kiss. "You can't just end the story with them [kissing] and that's done," joked Caleb McLaughlin.

A whole host of season three details have been arriving recently, not least the fact that we now know the season will be set in 1985 and will feature the return of the Shadow Monster.

"The Shadow Monster is still lurking up there out there in the Upside Down. He is determined to find a way to achieve his goals. The dogs didn't get it done in season two, so he's going to have some new strategies," Levy revealed.

We also know that there's one character who won't ever be killed off and that's Steve Harrington. Go Steve!

Stranger Things season three is likely to arrive on Netflix in 2019.
