Cynthia Nixon has opened up about the one Sex and the City scene that she didn't approve of. While on the Wendy Williams Show, she talked about her bid to become the next Governor of New York City, but also spoke about the show that made her famous.

When Williams quizzed her on if there was a scene that she didn't approve of, Nixon spoke about the end of the first movie which sees Big build a perfect wardrobe for Carrie. Nixon said that she felt that this scene was completely against the message of female empowerment the show was supposed to be about.

"I was a little devastated by that. Because it seemed to me that the show was so much about female empowerment and about women making their own choices and women standing up for what they wanted, supporting themselves, so to me, to have this be a kind of climax of the film — that your very wealthy husband builds you a really nice closet for your clothes — I thought 'Wow, that's not really what you love about the show, is it?' Because that's not what we were making it for. We love the clothes [though]! I'm not saying we don't love the clothes."

Although Nixon did find fault with the way that movie ended, she signed on to do another and reportedly was keen to take part in a third movie for the franchise until Kim Cattrall infamously pulled out.
