If you ask us, there's no such thing as too much Jessica Jones.

And it looks like Marvel and Netflix agree with us, as the streaming giant has officially renewed drama Jessica Jones for a third season, it was confirmed today (April 12).

Jessica Jones' renewal comes as Marvel's parent company Disney prepares to launch its own streaming service in 2019, and the announcement of a third season of the show coming to Netflix lives up to Netflix Chief Content Officer Ted Sarandos' promise from earlier this year that its Marvel series won't be in any danger when the new service launches.

"Our Marvel series that Disney produces for us – we own those shows. They run until we cancel them," he said, with Netflix Chief Executive Reed Hastings adding: "We get to use them for a very long time."

While there's no confirmed broadcast date (or year) for Jessica Jones season three just yet, there's still plenty of new Marvel series to look forward to arriving on Netflix over the next year or so, with the second season of Luke Cage and third of Daredevil due later this year, and more from Iron Fist and The Punisher in 2019 too.

And, hey, that's plenty of time to convince David Tennant to give his brilliant take on Kilgrave another go, right?

Marvel's Jessica Jones is available to stream on Netflix now.
