It's been almost 10 years since Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 was released, but it may not be the last movie in the series if stars Blake Lively, Alexis Bledel, America Ferrera, and Amber Tamblyn can help it. Lively and Bledel, who were doing press this week for different projects, both confirmed yesterday that all four girls (and off-screen, longtime friends) are dedicated to making a third movie happen.

In New York City last night, Jimmy Fallon asked Bledel about a third Sisterhood film, prompting her to reveal they pitched the project formally. 'I would love it,' she started. 'It would be the best thing. Yeah, [I talk to the other girls]. I mean, we don’t get to see each other a lot because everyone has work and family and everything but when everybody’s in town we do, and we just pitched a third movie, and I hope it comes together. It’d be so great. Yeah, we did [pitch it for real]. I’d love it, I would love it.'

Meanwhile, on the other side of the country, Lively was interviewed by Entertainment Tonight at the Las Vegas CinemaCon red carpet. 'I think it could really happen,' Lively said. "I think that people who love the movie want to see it. So, I mean, fans have gotten bigger movies made. [Lively's husband Ryan Reynolds'] Deadpool is all thanks to the fans. So I'm saying we'll do it.'

Amber Tamblyn also piped up, confirming the rumours and urging the fandom to make it happen:
