Despite Mel B leading everyone to believe months ago that she and the Spice Girls were all invited to the royal wedding and would be performing there, she wasn't really invited...and neither was Mel C. Page Six reports only the three remaining members of the group, Geri Halliwell, Victoria Beckham, and Emma Bunton, are going.
Their source said, “Only Victoria, Emma and Geri were invited, so clearly, the Spice Girls were never going to perform,” for added blow.
Beckham's invitation is not a surprise, as she was reported earlier this year to be friends with Markle. “Victoria’s quite proud of the fact that she and Meghan have become chummy and seems to want people to know they are friends,” a source told Vanity Fair. “Of course, if Meghan wears one of her outfits it will be great for business.”
Markle did indeed wear a Victoria Beckham sweater in her engagement photo. She appeared to re-wear it later for her visit to Northern Ireland.
