Jennifer Lawrence made an appearance Wednesday at the Brooklyn Academy of Music Gala 2018, where she presented an award to one of the night's honorees, Darren Aronofsky, her Mother! director, ex-boyfriend, and now "very good friend," as Lawrence told the crowd, per Entertainment Tonight. But according to Page Six, Lawrence also brought the best date with her: Pippi, her adorable dog.
“She took any moments of downtime to play happily with her pooch as the sun set over the harbor," a witness, who was also at the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal event, told the outlet. Lawrence isn't the only person who had this great idea. Page Six reports that one of the night's other honorees, Jeremy Irons, brought his dog Smudge who "wore a bow tie and had her own water bowl," the outlet wrote. There are unfortunately no photos of Pippi or Smudge at the event, which is a real lost opportunity.
