After Donald Trump met with Queen Elizabeth II in England last week, royal watchers were wondering what the two could have talked about during their private meeting at Windsor Castle. Perhaps his tardiness, or the fact that he walked in front of the monarch? It turns out their conversation wasn't nearly as salacious.

During his only broadcast interview in the U.K., President Trump told Good Morning Britain news anchor Piers Morgan what he really thinks of the Queen, calling her 'a fantastic woman.' As The Daily Express reports, when Morgan asked, 'What were her opening words?' Trump said that the monarch said, 'Welcome. Just welcome. Just very elegant. And very beautiful. It was really something special.'

When asked if the Queen liked him, Trump said, 'Well, I don't want to speak for her, but I can tell you I liked her so usually that helps. I liked her a lot.' It also helped that Trump's late mother was a big fan of the royal family.

Trump and the Queen also discussed Brexit, and the president said that Her Majesty said that the issue is 'a very complex problem.' He added, 'Well, I can’t talk, you know I’ve heard very strongly from a lot of people, you just don’t talk about that conversation [politics] with the Queen, right? You don't want to do that.' Indeed, royals aren't supposed to publicly express political opinions.

Morgan also brought American-actress-turned-British-royal Meghan Markle into the conversation. He mentioned that her father, Thomas Markle, claimed that Prince Harry said 'we should give Donald Trump a chance.' Trump replied that while he has not met Harry yet, he likes the prince, and he likes the 'energy' of the royal family.
