Reese Witherspoon is currently shooting Big Little Lies season 2 and throwing ice cream at costar Meryl Streep for mysterious plot-related reasons. But, since Legally Blonde 3 is really, truly happening, the actress is also preparing to work on that next. She talked to Entertainment Tonight yesterday about the progress so far. “Oh, it’s gonna be so fun!” she started. “I got to go to a meeting the other day where we talked about all the new plot points and all the characters and some returning characters and some new characters. I mean, I got so excited just in the meeting. I was like, ‘This is gonna be good.’”
So there's official confirmation that 1) there will be some returning characters (Paulette, please!) and 2) writing is actively underway for the movie, which means production and cast announcements should be shortly coming.
