Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas’s wedding planning has been kept largely private, with details mostly unreported by of the U.S. press. But India’s Daily News and Analysis got the best of all sources, Priyanka’s mother Madhu Chopra, to talk on record in full length detail about Nick and Priyanka’s wedding date and roka ceremony.

No day or time has been set, despite speculation otherwise, Madhu said: 'They haven’t decided on a wedding date yet. It’s too soon. These are just baseless rumours. Both of them have work commitments right now which they need to finish. They will take some time to decide where they want it and when they want it.'

Madhu also recognises that Nick and Priyanka got engaged fast (after just two months of dating), but 'I always trust Priyanka’s judgment; she’s not impulsive,' her mother said. 'She gave it a lot of thought and when she decided on something, I was sure it would be good.'

And she’s been impressed with Nick, whom she described as 'calm and mature. He’s a wonderful person and everyone in the family just loves him,' she said. 'He’s so polite and respectful towards elders. What more can a mother want?'

Priyanka's mom admitted that her daughter is having a traditional Indian wedding in part to please her. 'My daughter knew I wanted a roka before the marriage, so she never said "no,"' she started. 'I haven’t forced any of my thoughts on her, but I definitely want a traditional Indian wedding. That’s my only wish.'
