Jenna Dewan and Channing Tatum announced their split in April this year. The two have only recently been reported to be dating other people in what a source described to Entertainment Tonight as 'a huge step for both of them,' because 'Channing and Jenna truly planned to be together forever.'
But while Tatum's romance with singer Jessie J becoming public so soon was unexpected to some fans, Dewan wasn't thrown off by the news last week. 'Jenna knew that Channing was dating and it wasn't a surprise,' a source told E!. 'A friend had told her what was going on.'
The source didn't get into how Dewan feels about Jessie J specifically being Tatum's new girlfriend. The source just said that generally, Dewan 'doesn't really care what Channing does as long as he's being there for [their daughter] Everly. Jenna's dating too and they are both moving on with their lives.'
ET added further to this, reporting via its source that the former couple are each doing their best to allow the other to move on without drama. 'They are both trying their very best to give each other the space they both need to move forward in life,' the source said. 'They want their relationship to stay healthy for their daughter Everly. They both plan to make her their very first priority.'
