We all recall the footage that was unearthed during Donald Trump's presidential campaign where he publicly encouraged the sexual assault of women, telling Access Hollywood reporters that famous men could just "grab them by the pussy." The egregious comment confirmed Trump's misogyny and marked the inception of what would evolve into his flagrant disregard for women's issues during his current presidency, one that's apparently now fueling actual incidents of sexual assault against women.

On a recent flight from Houston to Albuquerque, a man named Bruce Alexander groped an anonymous woman's breast twice mid-flight. Per court documents obtained by ABC News, the woman was sitting in front of Alexander, and thought that the first touch may have been unintentional. But after she felt him touch her breast a second time while she was sleeping, she "rose from her seat, turned around and told the passenger behind her that she didn't know why he thought it was okay and he needed to stop."

A flight attendant moved the woman to a different seat (away from Alexander), who was arrested once the plane landed.

Later, in court, Alexander justified his actions by explaining that "the president of the United States says it's okay to grab women by their private parts." This statement likely refers to Trump's "grab them by the pussy" comment.

Bruce Alexander was charged with abusive sexual contact and will attend a preliminary hearing today, October 23.
