Welcome to one woman's nightmare: getting trapped in a PG-13 rated romantic comedy.
The first trailer for Isn't It Romantic, that film Liam Hemsworth, Rebel Wilson, and Priyanka Chopra were photographed cryptically dancing in the street for, was released today. It's a rom-com simultaneously making fun of all other rom-coms. Wilson, the film's romance skeptic, hits her head on a subway column, wakes up and is suddenly the star of her own love story. Dingy New York City apartments magically become Talenti gelato-stocked penthouses. Token gay best friends are there, and there are glimpses of Hemsworth and Chopra in their own roles—Hemsworth as the "hunky object of Wilson’s affections," per Hollywood Reporter and Chopra as "yoga ambassador Isabella." This trailer alone really makes fun of all the rom-com tropes in two minutes, so enjoy. The film itself comes out Valentine's Day 2019.
