To celebrate Prince Charles' 70th birthday, Prince William and Prince Harry have been interviewed for a documentary about their father. And the princes hilariously used the interview as an opportunity to reveal some of their most embarrassing moments with their dad.
Per royal correspondent Hannah Furness for The Telegraph, William and Harry discuss Prince Charles' passion for cleaning up the planet in the new interview, and how their dad has influenced them over the years. In fact, Prince Harry and Prince William reveal that they got teased at school for 'picking up rubbish,' a habit which their dad inspired.
Prince Harry says, 'I used to get taken the mickey out of at school for picking up rubbish. I didn’t go out consciously looking for it but when you go for walks anywhere and you see something and it stands out, you pick it up.' And when it comes to picking up trash, Prince William describes the unusual vacations they had as children.
Per The Telegraph, William reveals, 'He took us litter picking when we were younger... We thought this is perfectly normal, everyone must do it. We were there with our spikes stabbing the rubbish into black plastic bags.' And while this might seem like a slightly strange vacation activity, it's clearly had a lasting impact on both of Charles' sons.
Prince Harry agrees that, 'I’ve literally done this because I’m programmed to do it because my father did it. We should all be doing it.' And in case you agree, because saving the planet is obviously important, here's a bag to get you started:
