After To All the Boys I've Loved Before hit Netflix, fans have eagerly awaited news of a sequel. Plans to reunite Lana Condor's adorably awkward Lara Jean Song Covey with Noah Centineo's swoon-worthy Peter Kavinsky on the small screen have been kept quiet, but the cat is out of the bag (or, shall we say, the letters are out) and a new movie seems to be in the works.
The initial announcement came via The Hollywood Reporter, in a new report detailing a multi-picture deal between Paramount and Netflix. One of the first movies on their docket is a follow-up to LJ and Peter K's showmance turned romance.
To All the Boys director Susan Johnson seemingly confirmed the news on her Instagram, writing, "Well, the cat’s out of the bag! Thanks for the support, everyone!!! It’s all you!"
Shortly after THR's report, Teen Vogue reached out to Netflix to confirm. The streaming service remains tight-lipped though, commenting that the sequel is "not yet official and still just discussions."
Still, all signs of a TATBILB sequel point to yes. There are no details about the movie's plot so far, but judging from the books—which we won't spoil, but there are three altogether in the original series by Jenny Han—and the sudden reappearance of John Ambrose McClaren at the end of the first movie, it's safe to say we have an idea.
