The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were among the congregation at a Christmas carol concert on Tuesday, held each year in memory of Prince Harry's late friend.
The annual service at St Luke's Church in London was organised by the Henry van Straubenzee Memorial Fund, which helps to improve the quality of education in Uganda. The charity is named after Henry, the duke's childhood friend, who was killed in a car crash when he was 18 in 2002.
Harry and Meghan, who is believed to be around five months pregnant, were seen leaving the church through a side door at the end of the evening. She is said to have read a poem during the commemorative event. According to The Telegraph, the duchess gave a "confident recital" of 'Our Deepest Fear' by American author, Marianne Williamson, and guests appeared to be impressed. Members of the congregation told the newspaper that this year's concert was "one of the best", adding that the royal had spoken "very clearly".
Pippa Middleton and husband James Matthews were also in attendance at St Luke’s Church. The new mum wore a burgundy coat with a faux fur collar and a £295 printed smock dress from Kate Spade.
Prince William, who is a joint patron of the Henry van Straubenzee Memorial Fund with Prince Harry, couldn't attend the event. He and Kate joined the Queen, Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall at a Diplomatic Reception - an annual white tie affair - held at Buckingham Palace on Tuesday evening.
