The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge made a day trip to Cyprus on Wednesday, and their son Prince George had a sweet message for his dad before they left London.
William and Kate were visiting deployed military personnel and their families at RAF Akrotiri, where they honoured the fact that many serving members of the armed forces are away from their loved ones over the festive season.
Speaking to a group of RAF personnel during the visit, the Duke revealed that his five-year-old son had made a special request once he knew where his dad was going. William shared, per Harper's Bazaar's report, "I told George this morning we were going to see the pilots today, and he said, 'If you see a helicopter can you take a picture?'".
Prince George first hinted he's a big helicopter fan during the Cambridge family's five-day trip to Poland and Germany in 2017. When the royals had a chance to look at some choppers at Hamburg airport, George, who was aged three at the time, couldn't contain his excitement.
William, who worked as a search and rescue ambulance pilot until July 2017, was also keen to show his son the ropes during a visit to the Royal International Air Tattoo at RAF Fairford in 2016.
Last week, Kate hinted that her children are already getting into the festive spirit telling a crowd member in Leicester: "They've started all their Christmas songs and the Christmas trees are going up." What's the betting there will be a toy helicopter waiting under the tree for the young pilot-in-the-making?
