Gwyneth Paltrow is being sued by a Utah man who accused her of crashing into him while skiing and allegedly fleeing the scene, leaving him with several injuries on a ski slope in February 2016.

According to local Utah news station KUTV, Terry Sanderson, the man who filed the lawsuit against the Hollywood actress, claimed Paltrow was skiing "out of control" and knocked him down from behind. In court documents obtained by KUTV, Sanderson claimed "Paltrow got up, turned and skied away, leaving Sanderson stunned, lying in the snow, seriously injured." A skiing instructor who claimed to witness the incident blamed Sanderson for causing the crash, however Sanderson insisted the instructor was lying and did nothing to help him when was injured.

Sanderson allegedly suffered a brain injury, four broken ribs, and other injuries as a result. Sanderson said Paltrow "accepted no responsibility" and left the Deer Valley Resort in Utah, where the incident allegedly took place.

During a press conference, Sanderson recalled "feeling very sore, and my brain felt like I'd been injected with novocaine, I don't know how to describe it,” he said. Sanderson is suing Paltrow for $3.1 million.

Paltrow released a statement through a rep from her company Goop denying Sanderson's claims, saying, "This lawsuit is completely without merit and we expect to be vindicated.”
