It turns out all of the drama surrounding Grande's (twice) misspelled Japanese tattoo could actually turn over a huge profit for the singer. Grande wanted a tattoo that would read "7 Rings" in Japanese characters, but mistakingly had the word "shichirin" tattooed onto the palm of her hand, which translates to mean a small, Japanese styled BBQ grill.
After seeking advice from a friend that speaks the language, Grande had the tattoo "corrected" only to still technically have a misspelling. BuzzFeed's Eimi Yamamitsu explained on Twitter that the placement of the characters comprising Grande's post-correction tattoo actually reads "Japanese BBQ finger" now.
All of the back and forth gained Grande a ton of attention on social media, including from a certain tattoo removal studio. TMZ has acquired an offer letter from LaserAway, which is seeking to strike a deal with Grande that would offer her free laser removal of the tattoo (plus $1.5 million) in exchange for a photoshoot at LaserAway and one post per month for a full year about her LaserAway experience.
"I can't speak for Ariana as we have not received this letter, however, if they're willing to send me the offer, I'm sure I'd be happy to get a tattoo and then remove it real quick ... for $1.5 mil," explained Grande's manager Scooter Braun. "Hopefully, we can make this deal before her album comes out next week...shameless plug."
