Reports claim the the pregnant former actress invited her A-List friends, including Serena Williams (who snapped a rare selfie at the event), Mischa Nonoo and Amal Clooney to The Mark Hotel in Manhattan’s Upper East Side for the American pre-birth tradition.

With unfounded rumours of a feud between the two Duchesses still going strong, some took this as evidence of the Duchess of Cambridge’s dislike of the new royal, but we’re not having it.

In fact, the real reason that Kate Middleton was not at Meghan’s bash is because it's currently half term, meaning her three children are on holiday - and probably demanding her attention.

Kate, 37, is reported to actually be skiing with her husband Prince William, alongside five-year-old George, three-year-old Charlotte and nine-month-old Louis (who we don't imagine will actually be skiing but we're ready to be proven wrong).

The Sun reports that the children’s half-terms are, unsurprisingly, held free so the family can spend quality time together. Something Meghan no doubt not only understands, but encourages.

Rumour quashed.
