• Lady Gaga's ex, actor Taylor Kinney, raised eyebrows after he "liked" an Instagram comment that said, "Stoked you got away from Gaga. #Hollyweird."
  • Kinney later clarified that he liked the comment by accident and is "proud and happy" for Gaga.
  • The former couple first sparked romance rumours in 2011, became engaged in 2015, but broke up in 2016.

Lady Gaga's ex-fiancé, Taylor Kinney, caused a bit of a stir on Instagram after he liked a comment that threw shade at the singer. After the superstar gave an emotional performance with co-star Bradley Cooper at the Oscars on Sunday, fans noticed that one Instagram user wrote, "Stoked you got away from Gaga. #Hollyweird," on Kinney's recent photo, and he "liked" it.

However, Kinney later owned up to his social media blunder, Cosmopolitan points out. "Sorry for the 'like.' It was an accident. I’m only proud and happy for Stef," he wrote, calling Gaga by her real name, Stefani Germanotta.

Kinney and Gaga met on the set of her "Yoü and I" music video in 2011 (he played her love interest in the project) and sparked dating rumours later that year, according to E! News. The Chicago Fire actor and pop star became engaged on Valentine's Day in 2015, but announced in July 2016 that they had split. Gaga later went on to date talent agent Christian Carino starting in early 2017, became engaged, but recently parted ways.

Despite their public breakup, Kinney remains supportive of his superstar ex. He previously said of Gaga's success with A Star Is Born: "I could only wish her the best," he told E! News. "I am really proud."

Kinney isn't the only famous ex who's spoken out following Gaga and Cooper's Oscars set. Actress Jennifer Esposito, who was married to Bradley Cooper from 2006 to 2007, commented "Ha" on David Spade's Instagram post after he joked that the co-stars might be hooking up. However, Esposito clarified that she was directly responding to Spade's "very outward statement" and not Gaga and Cooper's relationship.
