• Meghan Markle and Prince Harry just hired Sara Latham for their communications team. Sara was an advisor for Hillary Clinton's campaign during the 2016 election.
  • This hire is part of a formal split between Prince Harry and Prince William's royal houses, aka, they're separating their staffs.

Major royal news! Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are totally revamping their staff, and it now includes an alum from Hillary Clinton's 2016 presidential campaign.

Sara Latham, one of HRC's campaign advisors, will be the head of Meghan and Harry's communications team. The royal family released a statement on the news today.

This change is part of a major shift in the royal household. Basically, up until now, Harry's communications team also handled Meghan's stuff and was also part of Kate Middleton and Prince William's team at Kensington Palace.

But now, Will and Harry are "splitting their royal households," which just means that Meghan and Harry are getting a team that's specifically for them. New Team Sussex will be based in Buckingham Palace with the Queen, instead of in Kensington Palace with Kate/Will.

FYI, Meg and Harry are still planning on moving into Frogmore Cottage in Windsor ASAP. This news just pertains to their office. Rumours of this formal logistical separation first came back in February, but this makes it offish!
