Selena Gomez's 2019 is really picking up momentum now. After a quiet first four months of the year, Gomez did Coachella, gave her first extended interview of the year, and did her first red carpet event in April. Today, she's back out for her second red carpet, The Hollywood Reporter's Empowerment in Entertainment event.

Gomez is a presenter at the ceremony. On the carpet, the singer wore a dark polka dot Celine dress with pastel blue eye shadow and a silver barrette. It was a fun twist on an otherwise classic look:

This isn't the first time Gomez has played with colorful eyeshadow. Last week at We Day California, Gomez stepped out with a purple cat-eye. She paired that look with a simple sleeveless navy Dior dress.

Gomez could possibly be at two major red carpets in the next two weeks. The Met Gala is on Monday, and Gomez is a regular attendee. She wore Coach at the event last year. And after that, Gomez is expected at the Cannes Film Festival for the premiere of her upcoming zombie comedy film, The Dead Don't Die. Both those carpets will bring the most extravagant of Gomez's red carpet fashion this year.

Gomez also confirmed last week that her next album is coming this year. She told Coach on its first Dream It Real podcast episode that the songs on there are all rooted in personal experience. "Working on this new record, I just wanted it to be me, all me. Every song is a story I’ve experienced. To that point, I think there’s no one who’s going to tell my story better than myself. I just really wanted to kind of just live with my story a bit and create it into something that means a lot to me."
