There’s nothing more stressful than trying to come up with something smart and witty to say on Whatsapp. Well, maybe fighting the undead and trying to survive life as a member of The Night’s Watch, but, ya know, it’s definitely up there…

So when Game Of Thrones’ John Bradley, who plays lovely Samwell Tarly, opened up about the panic he feels every time he thinks about contributing to the cast’s Whatsapp group, we got it.

Speaking to Cosmopolitan UK, John said: “The cast have a Whatsapp group. I’m so wary of it because there are some people who contribute consistently – not just consistent in amount, but in terms of quality of contributions.

“So, I’m just reluctant to add anything because I’m quiet for months, then I put something up for the first time in ages, and there’s just no reaction at all.

He added: “When nobody responds I’m just like, ‘Oh, I should have just kept my mouth shut.’ They might have thought I left the group.’”

Maisie Williams also spoke about this recently. She told The Metro that what happens on the Game Of Thrones Whatsapp group stays on the Game Of Thrones Whatsapp group.

“We have a Game of Thrones WhatsApp and people just post really funny pictures of one another from various seasons,” she said. “I think there was a rule that these do not go on Instagram… but I’m definitely going to put them on Instagram.”
