As much as we love Sophie Turner as Game of Thrones' Sansa Stark, it doesn't appear that the actress will reprise her part as the Queen in the North any time soon.

During the promotion of her new X-Men movie, Dark Phoenix, Turner made it clear that she doesn't see herself playing Sansa again, especially since she devoted a significant portion of her life to portraying the character on screen. "I think it's time to say goodbye to Sansa. I'm ready-ish, to say goodbye to her. I think my watch has ended. It's been 10 years of my life and the best 10 years of my life by far," Turner told Sky News.

"I finished in a very happy place with Sansa and it's time to let her go. I feel like if I played her again it would be just be more trauma," she added, referring to her character's happy season 8 ending as the lady of Winterfell.

News of Turner rejecting a possible Sansa spinoff might dash fans' hopes. Last month, Turner and former co-star/BFF Maisie Williams did an interview with E! News, in which they chatted about doing a Stark sisters spinoff series.

"Oh, I would sign up for that!" Williams said in the interview.

"I would sign up for that, I wouldn't sign up for any other spinoff….I wouldn't sign up for any other spinoff unless Maisie was in it," Turner chimed in.

As it turns out, neither option was ever likely, according to HBO president Casey Bloys. When asked if there would ever be a spinoff with any of the characters from the main series—particularly Sansa's sister Arya—Bloys was quick to deny it. "Nope, nope, nope. No," he told The Hollywood Reporter last week. "Part of it is, I do want this show—this Game of Thrones, [D.B. Weiss and David Benioff]'s show—to be its own thing. I don't want to take characters from this world that they did beautifully and put them off into another world with someone else creating it. I want to let it be the artistic piece they've got...That's probably one of the reasons why, right now, a sequel or picking up any of the other characters doesn't make sense for us."'

Luckily, the Game of Thrones prequel series starring Naomi Watts is currently in the early phases of production. There is no release date for the series yet, but filming is set to begin this summer. "We're shooting the pilot in June, you can do the math and figure out when it would be on the air....I don't want to speculate any dates," Bloys told The Hollywood Reporter.
