The cast of Big Little Lies all appear to be true friends. Reese Witherspoon, Laura Dern, Shailene Woodley, Nicole Kidman and Zoë Kravitz are often pictured embracing and gazing lovingly at one another, saying the nicest things about each other and littering each other's Instagram accounts with compliments, of course.
If the glam ensemble weren't already at peak friendship goals, they've just been photographed at the season two premiere of the show dressed in their finest and joined by none other than Meryl Streep. We die.
In the presence of a living legend, naturally their expressions were all beaming smiles in Streep's direction, especially from Nicole Kidman.
Streep has joined the critically acclaimed drama for its second series, playing Kidman's mother-in-law and the mother of the actresses' on-screen abusive partner Perry, portrayed by Alexander Skarsgård.
At the premiere, Streep told reporters she jumped at the chance to be a part of the book-turned-TV show when Kidman asked her before she even read the script.
'I believe in these girls, and that first season blew me away,' she told Entertainment Tonight. 'Everything about it: the writing, the depth of the performances, the style, the music, the whole world. And I couldn't wait to see where it was going to go.'
Five new fab friends, an award-winning show and Streep's approval. It's not half bad being any of the Big Little Lies leading ladies.
