People reported yesterday that Bradley Cooper and Irina Shayk's relationship changed after A Star Is Born, saying Cooper became 'emotionally absent.' The outlet is furthering that reporting today, adding that Cooper's relationship with his co-star Lady Gaga—and the romance rumours it fuelledonly worsened the rift between Cooper and Shayk, his girlfriend of four years.

'The rumours about Bradley and Gaga having a love affair didn’t help especially with his constant travels [promoting the film],' the source explained. Curiously, that source did not rule out that Cooper and Gaga could eventually date in real life. 'He has a huge and overwhelming connection to Gaga, but whether it becomes a real love story in their lives for all the world to see is premature, and it’s difficult to speculate at this sensitive time,' the insider said.

Initially, Lady Gaga was reported to have no role in the two's relationship issues. Us Weekly reported that the couple's struggles have 'nothing to do with Gaga.' A second source added that 'nothing romantic' happened between Gaga and Cooper when they shot the film. They're just friends.

The Sun reported this week that a romance between Gaga and Cooper just isn't going to happen, but they truly are buds. 'There’s no way Gaga and Bradley will get together,' the insider told the outlet. 'Not now—they’re really good friends and still speak all the time, but it’s not his style to jump into another relationship straight away. Especially after all the rumours about them during A Star Is Born. He wouldn’t do that.'
