Miley Cyrus took a moment today to pay tribute to her husband Liam Hemsworth on their 10th anniversary. Cyrus started her Instagram Story series by sharing a screenshot of a Gossip Cop article debunking false split rumours about them.

'Happy 10 year anniversary my love,' she wrote. 'Good to see everyone is as dumb as they were in 2009! Some things never change .... & I hope the way you feel about me is one of them. Yours truly,' she finished.

Then she shared a photo of them kissing in the ocean while they were shooting The Last Song. 'June 2009 @liamhemsworth,' she wrote over it. She ended her tribute by sharing a shot of them from the film. 'Started digging you in 2009 @liamhemsworth. Shit got deep. 💍 Happy anniversary.'

Hemsworth and Cyrus got married this past December. The two weren't together throughout the entire 10 years—they ended their first engagement in 2013, then got back together in early 2016. But Hemsworth spoke earlier this year about the intense connection he felt with Cyrus from the day he met her.

'I was 18 when I met Miley,' he told GQ Australia. 'We really fell in love quickly and had a really strong connection from the beginning, and I think in the back of my head I knew it was on the cards, but we weren’t planning to have a wedding anytime soon. Then just going through something this emotional with someone [losing their Malibu home in the Woolsey Fire last year], it brings you closer and we felt like we’d lost a big part of our lives, so we wanted to make a new part of our lives. It was something really good coming out of a horrible situation. It was going to happen eventually, but I think this just sped it up a little bit.'
