Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas have chosen to commemorate their dog Waldo permanently, via the medium of matching tattoos.
The newlyweds were proud parents to two pet Alaskan Klei Klai dogs, Waldo and Porky Basquit.
Tragically, over the weekend, their dog Waldo was killed 'in a freak accident' after breaking free from the dog walker's lead, running out onto the road and being hit by a car in New York City.
Turner and Jonas - who, evidently, from their social media posts and the plethora of pictures of them walking their pups - adore their dogs and were said to be understandably devastated by the accident.
On Monday, the couple each posted a picture to their Instagram accounts of their new tattoos: matching faces of Waldo on their arms.
'I miss you, Waldo,' Turner wrote on the picture. 'Rest in peace my little baby.'
Jonas shared the picture to his page, showing the dog's face on the underneath of his forearm, writing in the caption: 'R.I.P my little angel.'
Waldo's death came during what has been a particularly special and happy time for the couple after they exchanged vows in a French wedding ceremony earlier this month.
Turner looked beautiful in a bespoke plunge-neck silk and lace gown by Nicholas Ghesquière for Louis Vuitton. From the back, the dress had even more stunning detail including an embellished skirt, open back and sheer veil.
Jonas, his best men and groomsmen - which included his famous brothers - wore custom-made tuxedos by Berluti.
At least one of their dogs also attended the wedding, dressed in a miniature tuxedo.
RIP, Waldo.
