If you've still got a Lost-shaped hole in your life ten years on from the show's finale, Netflix's The I-Land could be your saviour.

The streaming service has acquired the seven-part sci-fi adventure starring Kate Bosworth and Magic Mike star Alex Pettyfer, and the synopsis sounds similar to J.J. Abrams' iconic drama, so we're obviously extremely excited for it.

We're also getting serious Fyre Festival vibes from the trailer.

The new thriller follows the lives of ten people after they wake up on a treacherous island with no memory of who they are or how they got there.

After setting off on a trek to try to get back home, they soon discover this world is not as it seems. Faced with the island's extreme psychological and physical challenges, they must rise to their better selves - or die as their worst ones.

Which also sounds a bit like Celebrity Island at the moment too...

Blue Crush star Kate - who also celebrated the news on Instagram back in August last year - will star as KC and serve as a producer on the series.

'Thank you @netflix,' the 35-year-old actress posted. 'So excited to be a part of the family!!! Can’t wait for you all to see what we have in store for you... #I-LAND...

'Beyond grateful to be working with brilliant creator Neil LaBute,' she added.

Netflix tweeted: 'The I-Land is a totally new series starring @katebosworth and created by filmmaker Neil LaBute about 10 people who wake up on an island with their memories totally wiped. Also, the island is trying to kill them.'

Under the Dome's Natalie Martinez will star as Chase, while Alex Pettyfer will play Brody.
