Selena Gomez gave an exceptionally personal look into her summer on Instagram this afternoon. The singer posted two selfies of herself and her friend Anna Collins while simultaneously revealing that they lived together all summer. Collins' dog Freddy joined them, along with her boyfriend Fox Atticus Martindale.
'After a whole summer of being roommates, Anna, Fox and Freddy have gone home and I’m missing them already,' Gomez wrote. 'I get to live life with the best people. I’m pretty freaking lucky.'
Gomez has shared several other photos of her summer, including a look at her friends' night out at a roller rink and several photos from her birthday vacation in Italy.
And Collins herself shared a shot of her and Gomez with their dogs. (Gomez formally introduced Instagram to her new dog Winnie last week.)
Gomez spoke earlier this year about how her friendships have kept her grounded. 'I’ve seen a lot of cattiness, and I think it’s so important to have healthy friendships. I really do,' she told Coach on its Dream It Real podcast. 'I mean my friends, without a doubt, have saved my life in multiple situations. I mean that. Because they’re honest, they’re loving, they unconditionally love, they never judge, and they give me sound advice. And all my friends are different: one’s in real estate, one works in social media, one works in foundations. It’s just great. We’re all so different and we love each other.'
Gomez has been pretty sparingly posting personal Instagrams this year on purpose. As E! reported in January, Gomez made a conscious decision to not post much on her own Instagram account. A source told the outlet then that 'she isn’t going to be posting much on social because she is more aware of how social takes a toll on her mental health, but she will be updating her fans once in a while.'
