• In a post on Instagram today, former Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton expressed her admiration for Meghan, Duchess of Sussex.
  • Clinton pointed to the duchess' work on Smart Works, her royal patronage that will soon dispense a line of women's workwear, set to launch on September 12.
  • This isn't the first time Meghan and Clinton have revealed that they run in the same circles; Meghan and Prince Harry have also hired Clinton's former campaign advisor to their royal staff.

Meghan Markle isn't just wooing British citizens. She's also captured the hearts of Americans in her home country, namely a certain former presidential candidate.

In a touching tribute posted on Instagram today, Hillary Clinton revealed that she too is an admirer of the Duchess of Sussex.

Captioning a photo of Meghan, Clinton wrote, 'I'm so inspired by how Meghan Markle—aka one half of @sussexroyal—is representing the U.S. in the U.K. and on the world stage. Meghan's new project: Helping @SmartWorksCharity equip women who have been out of the workforce with the office essentials they need to feel confident in job interviews and beyond. The ability to earn their own paycheck is a key part of women's economic, social, and cultural equality, and it can all start with some smart suits.'

Smart Works' mission is to aid disadvantaged or unemployed women who are trying to reenter the workforce. By providing work-appropriate clothes, Meghan's capsule collection hopes to provide women with the means and confidence to face things like job interviews.

This isn't the first time that Meghan and Clinton have crossed paths. Prince Harry and the duchess hired Clinton's former campaign advisor, Sara Latham, as head of communications to the Sussex Royal staff. The new hire was announced in March.
