Gemma Cairney's glorious secret has finally popped... She's written a book, called Open - 'a tool-kit for how magic and messed-up life can be.'

Sounds excellent to us.

If you're unfamiliar with the force of nature that is Gemma Cairney, look no further than her Wednesday evening 9pm slot on BBC Radio 1's The Surgery which she took over from Aled Jones last year. Prior to that she was waking the nation up with her eponymous show on weekday mornings, also on Radio 1. Oh, and you might have caught her last week presenting Women's Hour.

If you have had the joy of hearing or seeing anything from the fabulous Gemma Cairney before, you know you're in for a boisterous, witty and fun ride.

Without further ado, let's hear from Gemma herself.

Gemma is thrilled to be inviting us to engage with this labour of love and in a world full of lacklustre self-help books and dull, ghostwritten autobiographies, Open screams authenticity.

So let's get this straight, she's an activist, theatre producer, presenter, award-winning documentary maker Author and is this much fun?

What can't this woman do?

Everything she touches seems to turn into heartwarming, engaging gold and we can hardly wait to get our hands on a copy.

You can pre-order Open through this website now.
