Chris Pratt is used to battling big baddies across the galaxy, but it seems he's not a match for a creepy poltergeist.

The Avengers: Infinity War star just shared an eerie clip from his New York hotel room that appears to show a lamp moving of its own accord… perhaps under the influence of a ghost? Wooooo.

"So... I think I'm stayin in a haunted hotel room!" he mused on his Instagram account. "Super cool. I think this lamp is moving. But also. I think maybe I'm just trippin. You be the judge.

"Is this lamp messin with me? Am I messin with you? Why everybody gotta be messin with everybody when we got ghosts running around willy nilly? Don't seem right. #newyork"

While we imagine it is something to do with the chains and gravity, one user on Twitter suggested an alternative explanation.

"It's probably just @DaveBautista walking around in the room above you," they wrote, and we reckon this Drax the Destroyer theory fits.

After all, they're still at hilarious loggerheads in a new clip from Infinity War, in which Drax calls Star-Lord a "dude" compared to Thor's "man".

"You're a dude, this is a man. A handsome, muscular man," he says, Star-Lord insisting that he himself is also "muscular".

As for that ghost lamp, fellow actor Josh Gad had some simple advice for Pratt: "GET OUT!!!!!"

In this scenario, we think we know who Pratt's gotta call. Oh wait, wrong movie. Still, Marvel/Ghostbusters crossover, anyone? Thor's in them both, after all.

Avengers: Infinity War is released in UK cinemas on April 26 and US cinemas on April 27.
