Hours after her daughter and new mother Khloé Kardashian revealed that her 5-day-old is to be called True Thompson, Kris Jenner has explained the meaning and origin of the name.
Four days ago the matriarch celebrated the birth of her third granddaughter in the space of three months with a video of her second youngest daughter (keep up) Kendall repeating the word ‘baby’ three times.
Since then the 62 year-old mother of six has been by her 33 year-old daughter Khloé’s side in Cleveland.
Despite her daughters Kim and Kourtney coming and going from Coachella music festival (Kendall has just been spotted visiting Cleveland and Kylie is yet to visit) the momager and mogul has been the one person stuck steadfast to Khloe's side, int he wake of the birth.
Finally, last night, Jenner took to social media to confirm her latest granddaughter’s name and also to spill the beans on its origin.
She explained in both an Instagram and Twitter post that True is, in fact, her paternal grandfather’s name and her then her father’s middle-name.
She wrote, ‘I’m so excited to welcome my precious little granddaughter True!!! FUN FACT... my Grandfather’s name on my Dad’s side was True Otis Houghton....my Dad’s name was Robert True Houghton...so i am so excited Khloe named her daughter True!!! #lovebug #familytradition #family @true.’
This makes us love the name infinitely more, knowing it has such a special meaning.
