We have a funny feeling that, like us, you might not have been able to bag a ticket to this year’s Met Gala.

Of course, that might have something to with the fact you’re not Zendaya, Gigi Hadid, Karlie Kloss or Lady Gaga, or that tickets reportedly start at £18,000.

But why should that stop you enjoying the behind-the-scenes gossip in the toilets (remember last year’s bathroom smoking debacle?), scoring a first look at the A-listers’ one-of-a-kind couture gowns, or spotting the most adorable couple moments on the red carpet?

Granted, we might not have the contacts the likes that Gigi, Kendall, and Paris Jackson have but we're still in need of our designer fashion fix, right?

On Monday 7 May, the Costume Institute Exhibit at New York City’s Metropolitan Museum will be home to the 2018 Met Gala with the theme ‘Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination’. The event will be hosted by Rihanna, Donatella Versace, Amal Clooney, and Anna Wintour.

However, unfortunately for those with an eye for luxurious fashion (expect to see habit-inspired hats and gothic-looking veils) and premium beauty designs (sapphire-encrusted lips anyone), the event is never televised. And no, we doubt this year will be an exception.

But where there's a fashion will, there's always a way as we've just learned that E! News will provide coverage from its Live From the Red Carpet show. Teen Vogue reports E! will provide fans with a live streaming of the red carpet arrivals beginning at 6.30pm ET until 9pm (for us Brits this is 11pm - 2am BST).

Of course, no A-list fashion moment is anything without the power of social media.

While there’s a strict ban on Instagram and Twitter at the gala, everyone and we mean everyone who attends the evening always finds a way of getting around this policy (see previous years’ snaps from the likes of Lily Collins, Chrissy Teigen, Rihanna, Jennifer Lopez and Kylie Jenner).

Whether it’s getting ready pictures, close-up shots of beauty looks, limo journeys to the event or bathroom selfies, you can be sure the famous attendees will give you the perfect insider glimpse into the star-studded event.

Grab your Ben & Jerry's and duvet and sit back to enjoy the fashion moment of the year.
