Prince Louis may have been unable to join his siblings Prince George and Princess Charlotte as members of the wedding party at Saturday’s royal wedding, but it appears he might have been there in spirit.

And when we say ‘spirit’, we mean in diamond form.

A closer inspection of Kate Middleton’s outfit at the wedding - which featured a recycled Alexander Mcqueen dress, a co-ordinating Philip Treacy fascinator, and Jimmy Choo court shoes - and you’ll see the mother-of-three was wearing a never-before-seen new ring on her right hand.

The ring featured a citrine stone which is widely believed to represent new relationships, life, and energy.

As a result, we have a feeling this gorgeous piece of bling may have been gifted to the Duchess of Cambridge by her husband, Prince William, following the birth of their son, Louis.

Despite the wedding being her first public appearance since giving birth to Prince Louis on 23 April, Kate kept a low profile on the day, ensuring that her eldest two children were well-behaved as they served as bridesmaid and page boy for their uncle and new aunt.

Kate was first spotted at the nuptials walking Charlotte and Harry's goddaughter, Florence van Custem, up the steps of St George’s chapel and into the church, before taking a seat next to the Duchess of Cornwall for the ceremony.

It is believed that Louis was babysat by palace staff or another of the Cambridge family's nannies at Windsor Castle during the ceremony, while their main nanny, Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo, was on hand to keep an eye on the bridesmaids and pageboys.

The evening before the wedding, Prince William reportedly opened up about the newest addition to the family during a walkabout with fans in Windsor.

Ritu Dutt from Richmond, Surrey, told HELLO!: ‘I asked William, “how's the baby?” and he said “lots of sleepless nights but it's really lovely”.’ The Duke of Cambridge also joked that they were ‘looking for a babysitter’ for their baby boy when he was congratulated on the new addition to the family.

We can always step in for baby sitting duties, Wills!
