Weeks after Kanye West seemed to label slavery a ‘choice’, during an appearance on TMZ, the 40-year-old rapper has finally revealed how his wife, Kim Kardashian, reacted to his shocking statement.

During a secret album listening party last night in Wyoming, where the rapper has been cooped up recording his eighth studio album, the father-of-three reportedly shared details of the media mogul's reaction to his latest comments on one of the tracks.

And let's just say - it wasn't pretty.

Just Jared reports that on one of the star's new songs, he raps: ‘Wife calling screaming saying we’re about to lose it all I had to calm her down ‘cos she couldn’t breathe, I told her she could leave me now but she wouldn’t leave.’

‘This is what they mean for better or for worse huh?' he adds.

A source told PEOPLE that following the controversial statement from West, the reality star was ‘absolutely worried about [Kanye] right now, but she will defend him publicly to the end. She’s a very loyal wife, and her tweets and everything she’s been saying is definitely very calculated to help Kanye’.

The Daily Mail also reports his new music features Tristan Thompson's recent cheating allegations.

In a rap apparently called 'Ye' he referenced a Christian dating site that Thompson was said to have used for his infidelities and suggested that Khloé, who recently had his daughter True, has not left the basketball player.

He rapped, 'All these THOTS on Christian Mingle... That's what almost got Tristan single.'

Last night, West celebrated his new music by inviting a group of A-list celebrities, reporters and music industry experts to Jackson Hole, Wyoming for the private listening party.

Kim Kardashian, Scott Disick, Chris Rock, Jonah Hill, Scooter Braun, Teyana Tayor and Kid Cudi and more were among the attendees at what appeared to be a ranch.

Following the shindig, Kim took to Twitter to reveal Kanye shot the album cover on his iPhone on the way to the album listening party.

Prior to his album’s official release at midnight, the 'Famous' rapper live-streamed the album listening party on the app WAV with several photos from the gathering - including merchandise featuring the word ‘Wyoming’ and images of mountains - via his fan site Team Kanye Daily.

In recent months, Kanye has taken time away from Hollywood to record music in the Rocky Mountains with the likes of sister-in-law Kylie Jenner’s beau Travis Scott, Drake, Migos and Big Sean.

A source told E! News: ‘Kanye loves to escape to Wyoming to record his music because it is peaceful and he can lock up and really focus on getting tracks done.’

The rapper’s return to music follows the 2016 cancellation of his Saint Pablo tour dates and hospitalisation for more than a week due to exhaustion and sleep deprivation.
