Update 15 August: The mystery bouquet helper has just been revealed.

The Express reports that contrary to public speculation, the woman who helped Meghan Markle with her floral bouquet on her wedding days was Samantha Cohen, the Queen's former special advisor - not Kate Middleton.

Despite handing in her resignation last September, the Australian-born former aid agree to stay on as an interim secretary to Meghan and her new husband Prince Harry following their Royal Wedding.

The Times reports Cohen has been a key guide in helping the Duchess of Sussex acclimatise to royal life. 'It will be six months of listening', a source told the publication.

Markle had reportedly started meeting with Cohen after she and Prince Harry announced their engagement in November. The royal advisor 'briefed her on the Commonwealth and the workings of the monarchy,' The Times notes.

Original story: From their exchanging of vows and their first kiss, to their hand-holding during the carriage procession and the secret meaning of their wedding car, we've lost count of the adorable moments between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle at the royal wedding.

But one special part of the ceremony might have previously been missed - and it appears to be between the Duchess of Sussex and her sister-in-law, Kate Middleton.

As HELLO! has pointed out, the televised footage of the nuptials shows a female wedding guest promptly walking up to Meghan on her right side as she enters St George's Chapel. The woman can be seen handing the bride her bouquet, before quickly disappearing from view.

Although it's difficult to make out who the mystery guest is from the video clip (posted by a royal fan Instagram account), there is a theory lurking on social media that it could have been the Duchess of Cambridge, who was dressed in a cream Alexander McQueen coat dress for the occasion.

The pale-coloured outfit certainly looks similar to the one Kate was wearing, but there is a logical reason why she might not have been the one to hand the bride her wedding flowers.

Although the Duchess was one of the last guests to arrive at the wedding, along with the bridesmaids and page boys, she would have had to make a very speedy run for it back to her seat in The Quire of the chapel to be there in time for the bride's entrance.

It's for this reason that some commenters on Instagram say it 'makes no sense' that the unidentified flower-presenter was Kate.

Royal Instagram follower visagedefleurs commented on the video: 'It was not Kate, she was already in her seat by this time. There’s plenty of clear footage that shows that person was not Kate.'

Others have suggested the role could have been given to Prince George and Princess Charlotte's nanny, Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo, who was on hand to look after the young children in the bridal party on the big day.

However, she was dressed in navy for the nuptials, not a pale-hued outfit as seen by the person who took the bride's flowers in the clip.

Others suggest it was Givenchy designer Clare Waight Keller who was spotted rearranging Meghan's dress outside the chapel before the ceremony.

'I think it might have been the dressmaker,' commented Instagram user bklyn_debster.

However, the artistic director of the famous fashion brand was also wearing navy blue for the wedding, so we think we can write that suggestion off immediately.

Anyone else got any suggestions other than Kate? After all, the pair are widely believed to have formed a strong relationship in recent months as Meghan gets to grips with her new royal lifestyle.
