Have you heard? MTV is bringing The Hills back. That’s right, the show that gave us Lauren’s single mascara tear, Speidi, and Kristin’s iconic “piranhas” moment is returning with new episodes, storylines, and hopefully, a theme song that’s just as catchy as Natasha Bedingfield’s 'Unwritten.' (Unless of course, MTV has that song locked down for life.)

Here’s what we know about the reboot so far:

1. It’s called The Hills: New Beginnings. And it’s set to premiere in 2019. A teaser trailer dropped during the 2018 MTV Video Music Awards on Aug. 20, not long after some of the OG cast members reunited on the carpet. In the 30-second clip, Stephanie Pratt can be heard saying, 'It’s like we’re all growing up. It’s weird.'

2. Most of the original cast is coming back. Along with Stephanie, expect to see brother Spencer, sister-in-law Heidi, and their son Gunner, who was born on Oct. 1, 2017. During the big announcement, the Pratts posed on the carpet with Audrina Patridge, Frankie Delgado, Justin Bobby (!), and Jason Wahler and wife Ashley. While Whitney Port didn’t make it to the VMAs, she did confirm her return to the show via Instagram the next day.

3. The show will also feature the next generation, aka adorable babies. Make way for Delilah (daughter of Jason and Ashley), Kirra (daughter of Audrina), and miracle baby Gunner (son of Speidi).

4. Lauren Conrad and Kristin Cavallari won’t be on the reboot. According to a PEOPLE source, Lauren is 'in a different place in her life,' working on her Kohl’s line, her website, and managing a nonprofit. Kristin has her own show, Very Cavallari, on E! and is unable to break her contract. Per another PEOPLE source, Kristin is 'still close with Heidi and Spencer and is excited for them.'

5. Brody Jenner is thisclose to joining the show. Brody, who’s had his fair share of reality TV (bring back Princes of Malibu, please), is currently in negotiations to join his former cast mates for the big reboot, according to The Hollywood Reporter. 'Everybody wants Brody to come back. He was such a big part of the show,' according to a source. 'It truly won’t be the same without him.' If things work out, expect Brody’s wife Kaitlynn Carter to also pop up from time to time.

6a. You might know one of the new cast members better as Cory. As in, Cory in the House. Us Weekly reports that Kyle Massey, who first appeared as Cory on Disney’s That’s So Raven, will be part of the 'new generation' on The Hills reboot. 'They will show the old cast living their lives from day to day and then the younger cast members going out and causing drama,' according to one source. Kyle’s recent work includes Being Mary Jane, Gotham, and voicing the character of Mr. Spoony on the Cartoon Network’s Mighty Magiswords.

6b. Also new to the show: two bloggers. But their identities are currently under wraps.

7. As of August 30, they were already filming.

Heidi posted Instagram stories where she was with the entire cast and it looked like there was a camera crew in the background, and Audrina and Stephanie were seen on the streets of LA with a camera crew.

This post will be updated as more news about the reboot is announced.
