The end of summer is upon us. Schools are reopening; multi-layered outerwear is making a comeback; and Kendall Jenner's summer fling with NBA player Ben Simmons is basically over. E! reported this evening that a source said that the relationship—which included gas station kisses, frequent sleepovers at Simmons' place (some outlets even reported they were living together!), and going on a couples' vacation just two weeks ago—has 'cooled off.'
Jenner hasn't cut Simmons off entirely. They're 'texting,' but Jenner 'has been spending time with other people,' the source said.
Jenner just never was fully in it with Simmons, the source explained. 'She always wanted to keep her options open,' the source said. 'She likes Ben but she knew it was more of a summer fling. They both have busy careers and it is what it is. Kendall isn't looking for anything serious. She had fun with Ben but wasn't ever fully committed or looking for a long-term, exclusive relationship.' The source went on to say they will always be friends, which is really optimistic of E!'s insider. But maybe! Keeping Up With the Kardashians will eventually tell us all about it either way.
