With days to go until we sit down to watch the hotly-anticipated documentary about the royal family, Queen of the World, we’ve just learned an undeniably adorable detail about Meghan Markle’s wedding dress.

Speaking in her first televised sit-down interview since becoming a royal, the Duchess of Sussex opens up about her iconic Givenchy wedding gown, revealing exactly what the ‘something blue’ was in her outfit.

Running her fingertips through the dress’ veil - featuring embroided flowers to represent all 50 countries of the Commonwealth - and her dress, Meghan asks the interviewer: ‘Somewhere in here, there's a piece... Did you see it? The piece of blue fabric that's stitched inside?'

When the interviewer admits she can't see anything, the 37-year-old royal reveals the 'something blue' is 'fabric from the dress that I wore on our first date', referring to her first romantic night out with Prince Harry.

On learning the never-before-heard detail, the interviewer gushes, 'that's about the most romantic thing I've ever heard', promoting the Duchess to giggle.

When the couple announced their royal engagement in November 2017, Markle opened up about their first date.

'It was a blind date,' Meghan explained, before Harry admitted he was in awe at seeing the Californian beauty.

'I was beautifully surprised when I walked into that room and saw her. I was like, "Okay, well I'm going to have to up my game,"' he revealed.

And up his game he did.
