The Duchess of Cambridge will step back into the public eye next month, bringing her six-month maternity leave after the birth of Prince Louis to an end.
Kensington Palace has confirmed that Kate will visit the Sayers Croft Forest School and Wildlife Garden at Paddington Recreation Ground on Tuesday 2 October.
This will be the first time the Duchess has carried out an official engagement since March earlier this year, when she joined the Duke of Cambridge on a visit to SportsAid at London's Olympic Park.
In a statement about the upcoming visit, the Palace said:
'Her Royal Highness will see first-hand the positive impact that the Forest School has on children's emotional and physical wellbeing as she is shown the wildlife garden and meets children involved in exploratory and investigative outdoor activities.'
Since Prince Louis' arrival on 23 April, Kate has kept her public appearances to a minimum, although she attended a few family occasions over the summer. She joined Prince William at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding, Trooping the Colour, the 100th anniversary of the RAF and the Wimbledon finals.
Now that she's starting to make her official appearances once again, it's likely to be a busy time for the mum of three. Princess Eugenie's wedding is taking place on 12 October and Prince Charles' 70th birthday celebrations will get under way in November.
It's also an exciting time for the Middleton family. Kate's younger sister Pippa Middleton is expecting her first child with James Matthews this autumn.
Now we know when we're next seeing Kate, we just have one question - when will we get another glimpse of little Louis?
