Ahead of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's first overseas tour next week, the Duchess of Sussex has reportedly taken on a new role as wedding planner for her husband's cousin, Princess Eugenie.

On Friday, Princess Eugenie is due to marry her partner of seven years, Jack Brooksbank, at St George’s Chapel in Windsor - the exact same location where the Duke and Duchess of Sussex married in May.

In the lead up to the nuptials, Meghan and Eugenie reportedly met up at the Duchess' Cotswolds home in Oxfordshire's Great Tew Estate for some help with the wedding plans.

According to The Mail Online: 'Princess Eugenie and her fiancé Jack Brooksbank made a trip to see the couple around a month ago for Meghan to help the bride-to-be with her wedding plans.'

The meeting reportedly took place at a cottage Prince Harry and Meghan are renting near Chipping Norton in Oxfordshire, where they have spent much of the summer.

A source told The Mail Online: 'Harry and Meghan have spent much of their summer at the house.

'It’s their safe haven and the reason they decided to get another dog as they love walking around the grounds.'

The newlyweds have also been guests at Eugenie and Jack's mansion in Berkshire, which is only a short drive away, suggesting the couples' weddings this year have helped the foursome bond.

Over the summer, Meghan and Harry - who visited Sussex last week for the first time since their wedding - have hosted several celebrity guests at their home including Markle's BFFs Serena Williams and Priyanka Chopra.

The 37-year-old's mother, Doria Ragland, has stayed at the property twice, while Meghan's unofficial maid of honour, Jessica Mulroney, has been a guest.

Meanwhile, Harry and Meghan reportedly traveled to Sonning, in Berkshire, with their beagle Guy and new mystery dog to visit George and Amal Clooney's mansion for a roast dinner over the summer.

Ahead of Eugenie’s wedding, Buckingham Palace revealed details about the star-studded nuptials.

According to the Palace, there will be performances from internationally renowned opera singer Andrea Bocelli and members of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, as well as a fanfare from the band of the Household Cavalry.

A wedding cake has also been designed to reflect the 'rich colours of autumn' with red velvet and chocolate. Meanwhile, the nuptials will be televised live on ITV.

HELLO! Reports Prince Charles will attend his niece's special day alone, without the Duchess of Cornwall, who reportedly has a long-standing engagement on the same day.
