The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge embraced the festive spirit on Tuesday afternoon, when they hosted a Christmas party at Kensington Palace.
The couple invited the families and children of deployed personnel from RAF Coningsby and RAF Marham serving in Cyprus to the special event, which featured activities including stocking decorating, cracker making and snow globe decorating.

Kate was dressed in a tartan pleated skirt by Emilia Wickstead for the daytime engagement. She teamed the striking design with a black cardigan from Scottish cashmere brand, Brora, and black suede boots.
To make the occasion all the more Christmassy, Kensington Palace was transformed with the help of some fake snow and an appearance from Santa. Prince William was seen making crackers with some of the younger guests, while Kate chatted to the families. There were even signs of a snowball fight...
On Wednesday, the Cambridges will fly to RAF Akrotiri in Cyprus where they will meet with serving personnel and their families living on the base.
'Across these two engagements Their Royal Highnesses wish to deliver a message of support to deployed personnel and to acknowledge the fact that many Serving personnel are away from their families at this time of the year,' the Palace previously announced. After a walkabout at the RAF base, the couple are due to attend a Christmas reception to hand out presents to the personnel from the families they met on Tuesday.
This won't be the only time we see the couple during the festive season. They are expected to spend Christmas Day at Sandringham, where the royal family traditionally make a public appearance when they attend church on Christmas morning.
