It's not shocking that world-famous actors like George Clooney have security measures put in place to protect them and their families' privacy.

More unusual, however, is that it's not George's fame or fortune that is causing the biggest safety concerns for his family, but Amal Clooney's important work as a barrister.

George recently discussed the trials and tribulations of fame, acknowledging he misses some of life's 'normal' activities such as being able to go on a family walk in Central Park.

He also spoke about how security for his family has had to increase since he and Amal welcomed their twin children Ella and Alexander. The actor explained that there is a 'bounty on my kids' head for a photo', as well as touching on the 'proper security issues' the family face due to Amal's line of work.

'Everything changes when you have two kids on how you have to protect them,' he told The Hollywood Reporter's Awards Chatter podcast. 'My wife is taking the first case against Isis to court, so we have plenty of issues — real, proper security issues — that we have to deal with on a fairly daily basis. We don't really want our kids to be targets, so we have to pay attention to that.'

Amal legally represents the 2018 Nobel Peace Prize laureate Nadia Murad, a Yazidi woman who was kidnapped, beaten and raped for three months by Isis members in northern Iraq before she managed to flee and escape to a refugee camp.

Amal has argued that the crimes Isis committed against the Yazidi men and women amount to genocide and that the terrorist organisation should be prosecuted as such.

Last month, she spoke in front of the United Nations Security Council to demand justice for victims of 'an epidemic of sexual violence' in conflict.

'Justice is not inevitable, it doesn't just happen,' she said boldly while Nadia sat alongside her. 'It doesn't stand a chance if people in power, including those at this table, don't make it a priority.'

George elaborated in the interview that, despite the security threats and measures he and Amal may have to abide by, they continue to live their lives to the fullest.

'We don't hide in corners,' he said.
