However much we respect the Duchess of Sussex's hard-earned and much-deserved maternity leave, we can't help but be a little selfish about wanting to see her out and about. Which is why, for us at least, it's such great news that the new mum is scheduled to make a second public appearance since the birth of baby Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.
Second Post-Baby Appearance: Trooping The Colour
Markle has taken a brief break from her maternity leave on June 8 for her grandmother-in-law's birthday.
Seen wearing a deep blue coat, with matching dress - both believed to be Givenchy - and fascinator, the new mother is attending the Trooping the Colour, which is also baby Prince Louis' first official royal engagement.
The 37 year-old is joined by her husband, Harry, Duke of Sussex and the rest of the royal family to watch 1,400 troops and 400 musicians march in the parade.
Former actress Markle kept her make-up fresh and natural for the day, with the hair in a chic, low bun.
The event, which marks the Queen's official birthday, is held at Buckingham Palace and sees the public join in with the celebrations.
Last year, a newly-wed Markle attended the annual event wearing a Carolina Herrera off-the-shoulder dress and hat in a matching pink.
Then new to the Royal family, Markle was helped out by her beau, the Duke of Sussex, who advised her on how the event goes down.
Lip-readers reported that, whilst the couple were on the balcony alongside the rest of the royal family, the Duke was talking through the proceeding to his ‘nervous’ wife.
The Mirror reported he explained to her, ‘When you get into it I'll tell you more later…then there’s the flypast’ joking, ‘and then we all look up to the sky.’
The Prince also helped her out on when to curtsy.
In a clip shared on Instagram you can see Markle say through smile, ‘Do it?’ before Harry says ‘yes’ and they dip.
This time around we're sure the Duchess will have things down pat.
First Post-Baby Appearance: Photocall
Two days after the birth of Archibald Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor on May 6, 2019, Meghan Markle stepped out with her husband Prince Harry and newborn son for the first time since her labour.
Wearing a white double-breasted tuxedo style dress by Grace Wales Bonner and nude pointed Manolo Blahnik heels the 37 year-old new mother was praised for fully displaying her post-partum bump.
She gave her first post-birth interview during this appearance, telling reporters 'I have the two best guys in the world.'
The for actress described her tiny son as having the 'sweetest temperament' and being 'really calm.'
'He's just been the dream.' The former Suits star laughed: 'So, it's been a special couple days.'
