From her track record, we've come to expect that - like many artists - Taylor Swift uses her music to express feelings and thoughts about her romantic relationships. Past and present.

With 'Dear John', 'I Knew You Were Trouble' and 'All Too Well' well and truly in the past, her brand new album Lover, which has just dropped, features some lyrics which we can only presume are about her boyfriend of two years, Joe Alwyn.

With guidance from the internet - led by Swift's army of fans - we have meticulously analysed some of the lyrics from the new album and here are the most blatant references to The Favourite actor we can find...

Song: London Boy

Lyric: 'Took me back to Highgate, met all of his best mates. So I guess all the rumours are true. You know I love a London boy. Boy I fancy you.'

While the song alone indicates who it is about (yes, Alwyn was born, bred and lives in the UK capital), she sings about how much she loves a London Boy and all things English before seemingly confirming the 'rumours' of a relationship she's not really commented on yet.

Dropping in some British dialect ('uni', 'best mates'), she also appears to reveal details about what the couple get up to when they're this side of the pond and, if we're honest, it of all sounds quite familiar.

'You can find me in the pub, we are watching rugby with his school friends' - We feel we know exactly who Alwyn is with these insightful lyrics, just a normal guy - similar to a boy we went to school with, or dated at uni, perhaps.

It also sounds like Swift does just what he tends to do in London on the weekends: drink at the pub, pop down to Camden Market, 'nights in Brixton' and 'Shoreditch in the afternoon'. Celebrities aren't really that different, right?

Song: I Think He Knows

Lyric: 'He got that boyish look that I like in a man'

Swift has previously sang about how her new boyfriend is younger than her exes (*cough cough* John Mayer and Jake Gyllenhaal) and Alwyn is 28, just a few months younger than the singer. It's also fair to say he has a boyishly handsome face.

Song: Paper Rings

Lyric: 'Honey, without all the exes, fights and flaws, we wouldn't be standing here so tall'

Swift acknowledges her high-profile ex-boyfriends in this line, which she's most likely aiming at her current partner Alwyn. It's a mature reasoning to come to, that previous relationship experiences and relationship breakdowns inform your romantic choices later on, and a sentiment we can all relate to.

The chorus of the song is: 'I like shiny things, but I'd marry you with paper rings', suggesting the singer thinks she might have found her future husband in Alwyn.

Song: Lover

Lyric: 'I've loved you three summers now, honey, but I want 'em all'

On 'Lover', which she released the music video for overnight, Swift says she's loved him for 'three summers'. Considering Alwyn and Swift are rumoured to have met in the summer of 2016 this is most likely about the actor and the fact that he may be the one.

Song: Cornelia Street

Lyric: 'I hope I never lose you, hope it never ends. I'd never walk on Cornelia Street again'

Swift sets the scene of the song, revealing when she first met the guy she's singing about (Alwyn, right?), she says 'I rent a place on Cornelia Street'. The rest of the sing is explaining that if she were to break up with the boyfriend, she wouldn't be able to face the street where they created those memories together again.

As for Cornelia Street, there's one in New York City - which is presumedly the one Swift is singing about (coincidentally, one in north London too). Wherever it is, it holds a special place in the formation of their relationship.
