Kate Middleton has taken a leaf out of her sister-in-law Meghan Markle’s book and worn a piece of jewellery that pays tribute to her famous family.
In January 2020, the Duchess of Cambridge arrived at the Ely and Caerau Children’s Centre in Cardiff, Wales wearing a camel-coloured trench coat from Massimo Dutti, a Zara animal print skirt, with Ralph Lauren black suede platform shoes.
However, on closer inspection of her outfit and you’ll find that the royal was also wearing a gold necklace.
The accessory in question is believed to be the personalised Gold Midnight Moon necklace from Daniella Draper, which is on sale for £1,070.

The Daily Mail reports that Kate’s necklace features the letters ‘G’, ‘C’, and ‘L’, which are the initials of her three children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
This isn’t the first time the mother-of-three has worn personalised jewellery to show her strong bond to the royal family.
Following her royal wedding in April 2011, the newlywed was seen attending Wimbledon with her husband Prince William and wearing a gold link charm bracelet which features disc engraved with the initials ‘C’ – one for Catherine and another with a coronet for Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall. The accessory is believed to have been a gift from Prince Charles’ wife after the couple’s big day.
Last September, the Duchess of Sussex made a surprise appearance at the US Open final to cheer on her friend Serena Williams and was spotted wearing a delicate gold necklace featuring the initials ‘H’ and ‘A’, in honour of her husband Prince Harry and son Archie.
The necklace, which I sold by Mini Mini Jewels, features two dog tags for each of the leading men in her life and is made from 14-karat gold.

During her visit at the Wimbledon Championship last July following the birth of Archie, Meghan also wore an ‘A’ initial necklace made by jeweller Emma Swann.
The necklace, which was gifted by the Australia-based designer to the royal during her visit to Sydney for the Invictus Games in October 2018, is made from yellow gold.
