Blake Lively has opened up about life at home with her three daughters and husband Ryan Reynolds, revealing that she has recently been getting up at 5am every morning to work out with her brood.
The 32-year-old spoke about her home life and morning routine in an interview on Vanity Fair’s YouTube channel.
'I woke up at 5 am, but mostly because I was doing momma duty with my girls,' she said of her daily life following the birth of her third child.
'Have breakfast with them, hang out with them, work out with them. Cause I didn't want to to wake up any earlier. I'm not Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson. I had to just get some sleep.'
However, the 32-year-old chose to forgo common workouts such as spin class or treadmill run, instead opting to get her daughter involved in her fitness regime.
'So I would actually wake up and work out with my girls,' she added.
'So I would sort of use them as weights. Instead of wearing a weight vest, I got to wear my children.'
The Rhythm Section star continued, explaining she would then rush to work – which involved an hour’s drive – before getting home around 9pm to put her daughters to bed.
'They don't ever go to sleep, honestly. We gotta invent something,' she joked about her eldest children, James and Inez, being awake at 9pm.
Lively continued, explaining that her trick to getting her daughters to fall asleep often involved her crawling inside their pack-and-play – which she likens to a crib – and singing them to sleep.
'Usually I'd fall asleep in there. Almost every single night I'd fall asleep in there. And then my husband [Ryan Reynolds] would usually come in and be like, "Hey, you're safe now. You can come to bed.”'
After giving birth to her third child last summer and confirming the baby's arrival in October, the former Gossip Girl star said the experience of expanding her family feels like ‘going from two to 3,000!.
‘We have so many children. It's pretty crazy. We're outnumbered. It's a lot. People say that from two to three, it's the same, it's kind of easy. Those people do not have three kids. It is crazy.'
Lively and Reynolds are yet to share the name of her youngest daughter however, the actor has expertly dodged questions about the moniker in recent interviews.
During an interview on the Today programme in December, Reynolds was quizzed about how the couple ‘came up with the name of the third’ child.
'We haven't yet,' the Deadpool star joked, referring to whether he and Lively had given the baby a name.
‘We're going to be original and... all the letters in her name are silent. I want to give her something to push against in life.'
