Margot Robbie has shared her advice for staying mentally healthy during lockdown as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.

On Monday, the Oscar nominated actress starred in a video shared on the Child Mind Institute Instagram account to explain how she’s maintaining a positive mind set during the health crisis.

The organisation is an independent non-profit which works to transform the lives of children and families struggling with mental health and learning disorders.

'I just make a lot of lists,' she told her fans about her daily routine.

'I have lists for things I need to do that day, long term, short term, fun stuff, not fun stuff.'

'It gets it out of my mind and on paper and if I don't get through my list that day I don't stress about it, I just pick up where I left off the next day.'

Robbie, who is currently in lockdown with her husband Tom Ackerley in Los Angeles, also asked her fans to consider what helps them feel more mentally at ease.

'I think it is worth just to take a second to think about the things that do help put your mind at ease and give yourself the time to implement it into your day,' she added.

Over the years, several studies have shown that people perform better when they have written down what they need to complete. A study in 2011 stated that just making a plan to complete tasks can reduce anxiety.

Robbie’s advice comes days after Oscar winner Emma Stone also opened up on the Institute’s Instagram account about her own methods for maintaining a healthy mindset during lockdown.

‘I’ve been dancing all around my house, blasting music, and just getting it out,’ the La La Land star revealed.

‘Any exercise at all really seems to help me. But dance is my very favourite, and I just get very silly and very loose, and that seems to work for me.’

Last week, Robbie joined several actresses including Scarlett Johansson and Cameron Diaz in a ‘Boss B*tch Fighting Challenge’ video which saw A-listers featuring in an all-female action montage.
